Games and Applications News

In with the new, but not out with the old!

*
Hey, everybody we have some new things coming out in the next couple of months which may get you excited, or not. First off, Jackson and I are creating a sequel to the fun game Sort Em’ Up. For those of you who have not played Sort Em’ Up you can download it on the games page. To check on the games progress visit the projects page, we currently do not have a date set for release but should have one in the next couple of weeks.

That’s the good news, and the better news is that we are starting to make 3 video tutorials series, that will be available for purchase from our website for DVD or download, once they are done. I will be creating the Adobe Premiere CS3 tutorial series, and will be going into detail on every aspect of the program so you can become your own expert. Jackson will be creating an HTML tutorial series and a re-creation to his ever popular MMF2 tutorials; this new set of MMF2 tutorials will be even more in depth and go over all aspects of the game creation program.

Also in other news the Grossmont Honor Band concert is in the menu creation stage and finalizing, it should be released in the coming week. For more accurate dates please visit our projects page.

Stay tuned in our site for the next few weeks, to find out more info on the tutorials and games, thanks for supporting Atomic Studios.

Sort Em Up released! and Honorband Concert is being edited.

The Sort 'Em Up game has now been released! Check the games page to play it. I've entered it in the Clickteam Vitalize 2008 Competition and we've been getting some pretty good feedback from people playing it.

I'm currently editing the GUHSD Honorband Concerts and they are coming out pretty nicely. They should be done within the next couple weeks.

Out with the old, in with the new

Yay! The old site is gone and the new one is here! Still some more content is being added and the site is still being improved. In IE7, there is a small problem with the navigation bar not loading properly. We are still trying to fix that, but for now we recommend you view this site using firefox (it's better than IE anyway).

The Piece of Ketchup game is coming along nicely and we have come up with an exciting game description: Explore the exciting world of a Piece of Ketchup in a thrilling journey to save his condiment-napped friend. Along the way find yourself encountering the scorching desert, exploring the depths of baconville, traveling through space, battling a giant mustard fish, warping into another dimension and even being chased by a giant midget!

The sort 'em up game is coming along well and should be released soon. We are just doing some testing and adding in a little bit more music and then it should be released.

Also we are still looking for people with any skills related to game-making to help out our game production. Contact us if you are interested.

Calm before the storm

Currently in our film department we have a semi break before our next job. We finished our last job which was a farewell service for the Grecco family at Faith Chapel. We are now waiting for 2 concerts in December, which will be at Hillsdale Middle School. We are very busy with filming, games, and of course the new site. :)

And we begin work on the site...

Well this is the template for our new site. How do you like it? If you have any suggestions or comments on it we'd love to here from you. Email us at contact@atomicstud.com. I'm starting to slowly fill up this site with content (no more Lorem Ipsum text! lol) so that we can eliminate the old one. Once we get all the content ported over I'll start with the PHP and get that going.

Blue Ink ScreensaverIn the screensaver's department, we have our first free screensaver available, called Blue Ink, created by William and myself. There's a nice screenshot of it to the left

In the games department, we are slowly progressing on the Piece of Ketchup Game and a simple not-yet-named puzzle game. We are looking for more people to join our freeware games department and make some, fun, free games! Email us at contact@atomicstud.com if you are interested.

In the tutorials department, we are working on our new series of tutorials called "Tech Tips". Also, there is my "Introduction to Moo Series", (If you think I'm talking about cows, I'm not) which I haven't worked on in a while but hope to start again soon.
